A Letter From The Dugout Club President
Dear Peachtree Ridge Baseball Family,
The Peachtree Ridge Dugout Club is proud to announce that we have received federal tax exempt status under IRS code 501(c)3. This means that Dugout Club supporters are eligible to receive a federal tax deduction for their 2012 charitable contributions to The Peachtree Ridge Dugout Club.
Peachtree Ridge Baseball parents may also be eligible through their companies for "Dollars for Doers" reimbursements. If your employer has a "Dollars for Doers" program, you can apply for a grant to the Dugout Club when you reach a specified number of volunteer service hours supporting The Peachtree Ridge Dugout Club. This number is determined by your employer, and most companies pay amounts from $100-$750 based on the number of hours volunteered (typically 25-75 hours). You can include all of your game day service, field day support etc. Check with your HR department for more details.
In addition, many employers also provide a Gift match benefit that will match your contribution up to a specified limit to the 501(c)3 of your choice. Some companies do put restrictions on the type of organizations they will match, such as arts and education only. Check with your HR department to ask about Gift Matching.
In the coming week, we will post The Peachtree Ridge Dugout Club, Inc. 501(c)3 determination letter in the Forms section of our website. The determination letter is a document that will be required by parents and sponsors when applying for company "Dollars for Doers" volunteer programs, Gift Matching Programs and will be requested by program sponsors in order to receive a federal tax deduction for their charitable contributions to our program.
This is another exciting milestone in our program.
